Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I don't know what behind the scenes politics go on at this place, so I'm not claiming what I say is the truth, it's just how it appears to me as a customer. But the reason I bring it up at all is because the quality of the pizza at his location varies wildly, and it seems to happen at regular intervals. You can go for a couple months and the pizza will be really good. Then as if someone flipped a light switch you go back a week later and it's awful. Maybe it was just an off day. So you try it again a little later. Still bad. Then you look around and realize all the employees you got used to seeing there are there no longer. But then after a month or so the pizza quality gradually improves back to where it had previously been and it stays that way for another couple of months until the cycle repeats. Like I said, I don't know what's going on, I only have my suspicions, but there appears to be a high turn-over rate here, with either mass firings or resignings of employees a couple times a year and a whole new crew gets brought in who don't know how to make pizzas and require a month or so to learn. On a good day the pizza is 5/5, but on a bad it's maybe a 2/5. You just never really know when you go in how it'll turn out so it's always a gamble. So it makes it hard to assign a rating for the restaurant as a whole. I would average it out to a 3/5, but according to Yelp's description a 3 means "A-ok", and I don't think this amount of inconsistency is acceptable. So to conform to Yelp's standards I'll hesitantly put it at a 2: "I've experienced better". Overall the quality of ingredients seem very good, so it's hard to really describe the problem of why the overall pizza doesn't turn out so well. I think it comes down a lot of times to the crust and proportion of ingredients. Sometimes there's too much sauce, other times not nearly enough and it feels really dry. Sometimes the crust is nice and airy, other times it's too dense and hard. The cheese and toppings are always good, but when the two layers they're built upon can change so much it brings down the whole pizza if they're not in synch. Overall I'd still recommend the place because I've been a Round Table fan all my life and I enjoy the taste of the cheese and sauce they use, but just be forewarned you might come out a little disappointed if a new guy is on shift. And I understand that, we all start somewhere and it takes time to learn the ropes. It just seems like when these downward swings happen there's no longer an experienced crewman on hand to make up for the errors of the new guy, so you'll just have to wait it out until they get the hang of it.

I've always been a fan of Round Table Pizza. I finally happened to stop by the actual store. Veyr nostalgic feel to it. Has family night every Tuesday night. All you can eat with activities for the kids. Will stop by one of these days....

I always have been and always will be a Round Table fan. I have never been disappointed by their pizza. It's more expensive but worth the extra cost. Definitely a few steps above the other chains. Portland has plenty of "unique" pizza places but not all of them are good and not all deserve to charge so much (Pizzicato comes to mind...) Anyhow, Round Table does it right!

I came here for the lunch and dinner buffet on Tuesday evenings at 5 PM to 8 PM and was very impressed. Lots of options and you can even request your favorite Roundtable pizza complete with a salad bar, cinnamon bread sticks and garlic twists. Soda is an extra charge but for the price of $7.49, it's a deal.

I haven't been back yet, but someone from the restraint contacted me, apologized and sent me a free pizza coupon. Since my issue isn't with the food, I will happily take the coupon and use it for take out. :) I hope that the owner of the LO location can put some money into the building (or better yet, move to Sherwood where we do not have a SINGLE family pizza restaurant). Round Table pizza in my opinion is one of the best out there if they can clean the place up I think they would do even better. Clearly they have their product and Customer Service mastered. :)

Aside from the fact that I really don't eat Round Table Pizza much, this place isn't bad. The lunch buffet is well priced and the selection of pizzas was replenished regularly during the lunch time I was there. The staff in my experiences has always been just fine. I have never had any issues with their delivery, save for it being a little on the slow side, but I'm the lazy person not wanting to leave my apartment, so I can't complain. All in all, when a craving for Round Table Pizza for some reason hits, this place isn't a bad go-to.

(Originally written 12/8/2014 but forgot to post.) Consistently good pizza, always know what to expect. The staff members are fine (not super, but I've never had a negative customer service experience here). The building could do with some better lighting or decorations, especially since they painted over the big dragon on the wall years ago! It is pricier than other pizza chains, but the quality is better. If you order to-go, check that your order is complete. They forgot to include my garlic twists the one time I ordered online. Which brings me to the garlic twists...sometimes they alone are "worth the price of admission." Yum! Give this place a try.

We've finally given up on this place. After my last review I was contacted by the manager and assured that the restaurant was going to be thoroughly cleaned and then remodeled at some point. Well it's a year later and neither was done. We went there a couple weeks ago after a year hiatus for the lunch buffet and all they'd done is painted over the murals. The place is still disgustingly filthy and the carpet reminds me of something you'd see in an abandoned restaurant in Fallout: New Vegas. Bottom line, this place is downright dirty and reeks inside. Until I see a Dempsey dumpster outside being filled with the gutted interior and a subsequent remodel we won't be going back.

We took our grand kids there after our grandson had his recital for an early dinner. Pizza was excellent, we've been a long time Round Table Pizza supporter (we're from So. Cal) the RTP in our area closed & moved to a different location & city. The managers were friendly, good quality pizza. We plan on visiting again before we go back to So. Cal, maybe we'll do brunch.

Fine, nothing special, but the pizza was ready when I arrived to pick up.

Excellent pizza and a better than usual salad bar. This location has an old-school pizza parlor feel and won't disappoint. The all-you-can-eat lunch buffet is a bargain and a good way to try several different kinds of pizza without spending a lot of dough. Great for families as they keep board games and other activities available. Not fine dining but the dining is just fine at the Lake Grove Round Table!

I am centering this review solely on the lunch buffet. Of all the National Chain pizza places if I had to rate one over the other I would put Round Table first. The fact that they offer a lunch buffet puts them up a notch and a half more. The cost is $6.99, but that doesn't include a beverage, so figure lunch is $8.98 in reality. I don't begrudge them that at all, I'm not opposed to a business making money where it can as long as it is not out and out ripping me off. They do this funny thing, when you pay (in advance) they give you two plates and an empty cup. One plate for the salad bar, one for pizza, and I think the employees like to watch to see if you are smart enough to take one plate and drink to the table first and then come back for salad or pizza. Amusing wait staff is totally worth an extra star! The salad bar is, sad to say, very average. Which is almost a crime (hence 4 stars, not five) because they could make a rocking salad bar with a little thought. I implore the manager of this location to head for Oregon City and Jimmy O's Pizza. Rocking salad bar! Why? The put out pizza meats like pepperoni and ham. I do give them credit for the hard boiled eggs, always a nice salad touch and the lettuce is always fresh, no wilting. A better quality dressing would be nice, but what they use is acceptable. The pizza is amazing here, and what is great about the lunch buffet is you get to choose new pizzas to try without having to pay for a whole pie! So along with old favorites you can try the newer gourmet chicken pizzas and everything on it pizzas, while still enjoying your usually pepperoni or sausage and olive. Personally I like the plain cheese pizza, if a place can make a cheese pizza rock my taste buds then you know they have the basics down pat. Great place for lunch, Yelpers! They are open from 11:30 to 1:45.

Second time in two weeks I've called in an order ahead of time and arrived to not only have it not be ready, but for no one to have even prepped it (despite the order being in the system). Given the debacle the first time, you'd think the second time they would've actually made the pizza. Will not be back to this location.

We like it! Having moved from a location where Hot Lips, Good Neighbor Pizza and FIREHOUSE was on speed dial under FOOD DELIVERY, the current options are often depressing. Got to say, good old round table is a decent fall back. Consistent and fast, w/o mistakes.
